Problem with my guitar / amp mic.?
My guitar amp just stopped working suddenly. I've nothing to him. I played a song and it makes a loud noise, like low scores. After the noise dies down, nothing worked. The microphone and the guitar does not work not, and the "on" light does not turn on (yes it is connected). Now, I can not exactly get a new one. You see, it has a mic and guitar input and it is extremely difficult to find and expensive. I need to know if someone can tell me what could be wrong with him, and how I might be able to fix it.
Hello! Since you did not list specific amplifier, I'll just give you a general diagnosis. The problem seems to be on the supply side, as opposed to a tube fails or an electronic component. If a fuse is externally accessible, check and replace if necessary. There may be an internal fuse in place, but it will be subject the removal of the chassis of the cabinet. It may also be that the power transformer malfunctioned. If the cord is removable, Take a look at each end to see if it is in no way distorted by exposure to heat. In the final opportunity, make sure you do not trip the circuit breaker controlling the outlet you use for the amp, I know that's obvious, but should mentioned. Let me know if I can help. Best regards, Dana
